I am inspired by the evolutionary forces of nature. For me, circular saw blades symbolize the eternal change of becoming and passing away. The canvases were created through a natural process while being left outside to nature with the saw blades rusting. Rust is a sign of impermanence. The grains of grain in a wide bowl represent new life. Beuys succeeded in sowing thoughts, analogous to grain kernels that bear new fruit.

I’ve been a Beuys fan since school. His archaic, mystical works took my fears away.
